Canalyst is a high-growth equity research technology company that serves some of the world’s best investment professionals - and we are looking for a Systems Administrator who will play a key role in our company’s next stage of scale.

As Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing our IT function, the majority of which is focused on ensuring that the team has the systems, tools, and environments that enable them to work effectively while maintaining company best practices in system and network security.

What you will do:
Maintain essential IT operations including network, ISP, operating systems, security tools, applications, desktops, laptops, conferencing systems, and phones to keep our systems running effectively and efficiently
Design, develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure best practices in securing our data, network, and systems while maintaining the operability of the systems for our staff
Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to analyze their business requirements and develop appropriate IT solutions for the people on their teams
Train employees on both software and hardware best practices, troubleshoot and provide technical support when needed
Lead regular system and security audits, develop and own disaster recovery procedures, participate in risk assessments, and implement appropriate security controls
Collaborate with stakeholders in the evaluation of new and replacement hardware and software, then coordinate on purchasing and procurement
Manage relationships with IT partners and vendors including consultants and hardware providers
Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations on improving our IT infrastructure

What you will need:
Proven working experience as a Systems Administrator or relevant experience
Strong work ethic and attitude of a lifelong learner
Excellent working knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and operations best practices
Experience with Windows and MacOS environments
Experience managing and tuning cloud based systems for office environments such as Google Suite Admin is an asset
Experience rolling out and managing centrally managed antivirus is an asset
