POSITION: Senior Manager, Marketing
LOCATION: Toronto, ON (M5L 1L5)
STATUS: Contract (18 - 24 Months)


A senior front-line position working directly with Assante’s Advisors, senior executives and internal teams. The Senior Manager, Marketing is responsible for the ongoing development and management of the Assante Brand in the Canadian marketplace. In your role you will develop and execute the strategic marketing plan for Assante’s National and Regional Brand campaigns and create complementary marketing programs for advisors’ local marketing efforts. These programs will increase brand awareness and deepen Assante’s reputation among investors and advisors as a firm that provides comprehensive, full-service advice to high net worth investors.

Working closely with senior leadership, the Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring the execution of the firm’s marketing strategy across Canada. The Senior Manager will also work closely with internal business units on high priority product/service launches to ensure marketing and communication objectives are met.


Create, recommend and implement marketing programs and campaigns for services of the organization.
Manage the selection, training and development of marketing staff.
Manage and analyze results of all marketing programs and recommend changes to approach based on performance.
Collaborate with Senior leaders to implement new and modified programs and initiatives.
Develop marketing tools to support national branding campaign, assessing effectiveness through advisor feedback and adoption of tools.
Maintain our corporate online presence including social media platforms.
Communicate and market corporate conferences.
Must remain current with the Canadian financial services industry’s changing regulatory environment and practices.
Identify improvements and make recommendations to improve the department’s efficiency.
Maintain strict service standards for approval of Advisor marketing requests.
Ensuring that accurate records are maintained of marketing approvals requests and correspondence.

A university/college degree or diploma in Marketing, Business or associated discipline.
7+ years financial services experience, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the finance field.
Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to inform strategy
Experience in thought leadership/content strategy programming, and digital marketing
Outstanding ability to lead and manage others in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with financial advisors
Self-starter, independent and proactive with the ability to handle several tasks and prioritize time sensitive items
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal (French is an asset)
Experience within, and understanding/knowledge of, the Canadian financial services’ regulatory and compliance environments
Sound judgment on the interpretation of business, compliance and regulatory guidelines is required
Ability to identify and effect change to streamline and improve existing processes, policies and procedures
CSC or IFIC course are preferred

Professional office environment/Normal office conditions
May be required to work outside of regular business hours, limited travel
