We are now recruiting for a talented Project Manager to work with a Program Manager to lead a team of engineers and technologists and to manage a development project to time, cost and performance.
Planning and execution of engineering projects;
Accurate forecasting, control and reporting of project costs;
Identification, management and reporting of project risks and appropriate mitigations;
Ensuring the project meets all internal and external engineering and quality standards;
Management of subcontractors and procurement where appropriate;
Day-to-day management of project personnel;
Acting as one of the points of contact for each customer and management of expectations;
Generation of further business from each customer where appropriate;
Assisting the Sales and Marketing team to develop new offerings and proposals.
Other duties/ projects as assigned.
Ability to work on Canadian Controlled Goods and US ITAR controlled articles.
Candidate must be capable of acquiring a NATO Secret security clearance.
BS / BA degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/education.
3+ years of experience in supporting customer programs within defense/aerospace industry.
Willing to travel within Canada, US and Overseas.
PMP certification an advantage, but not required.
Experience scheduling development projects, reporting on progress and running metrics.
High level of proficiency with MS Project.
Business acumen to include a working knowledge and understanding of financial, accounting, earned value, and operational functions required to provide sound project support.
Professional presence with desire to improve processes and exceed project schedule and budgetary goals.
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining customer, client, and vendor relationships with high level of satisfaction.
Attention to detail and analytical skill.
