Online Education coordinator – High school Online Courses

Job Status: Full-time position

Work Location: Yonge & Steeles Toronto

Canada Outstanding International Education Group Ltd. (OIEG) is a large-scaled education group with good location in the GTA and several schools and branches in Singapore and China providing all sorts of education to local and international students.

We are seeking Online education coordinator to develop the OIA Online high school courses bases on Ministry of Education’s requirements.

Job Description:

  • Supervise the online credit course classes and maintain close contact with the school principal and team members in other countries on a day-to-day basis for quality assurance and troubleshooting on academic issues
  • Provide support to instructors on technology-related issues (e.g. LMS, IT and database)
  • Train and assist staff in the implementation and application of the school policies, procedures and practices
  • Provide support in educational program and course development and LMS maintenance
  • Assist in preparing course schedules and other documents for each term to ensure compliance with the Ministry of Education’s requirements
  • Supervise changes to instructor teaching hours and schedules and provide support to accounting dept. to deliver accurate compensation for all such changes
  • Work with the school principal to monitor the completion and submission of instructor documentation and student assignments and assessments
  • Report to principal on student academic issues, such as extra tutoring requests and discipline issues
  • Together with the principal provide expertise and oversight of good practice in online teaching and learning, including assessment practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in education, business or data analysis
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good at technologies and a quick learner
  • Experience in using Learning Management System such as Canvas, D2L. etc. is a very important asset
  • Experience in educational administration or online school operations, such as term scheduling, faculty training, or student services
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (written and oral) skills
