We currently have a Temporary Full-Time opportunity for a Marketing Officer in the Advancement department at Sunnybrook Foundation.

Title: Marketing Officer - 12 month contract

Department: Community Engagement

Reporting Relationships: Reports to: Senior Manager, Marketing

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is inventing the future of health care with a focus on trauma, cardiac, stroke, high-risk pregnancy and newborns and cancer. Sunnybrook treats the most critically ill patients in Ontario, pioneering life-saving innovations that are changing patient outcomes around the world. Sunnybrook Foundation exists to raise the awareness and funds required to ensure that Sunnybrook achieves its mission.

The Marketing Officer supports the development and implementation of marketing initiatives that generate brand awareness and engage donors. The role requires the Marketing Officer to demonstrate an understanding for and embrace the organization’s mission. This individual enjoys finding innovative ways to build Sunnybrook’s brand, is results driven and generates ideas to achieve goals.

Key Accountabilities:
Support and implement the marketing business plan; achieving established goals
Lead project management and production of marketing initiatives such as website, digital advertising, social media, email, video and print
Support implementation of the brand campaign
Develop and project manage marketing support materials for and in collaboration with the events, community giving, stewardship and donor relations teams
Project management responsibilities include: creating partner briefs, establishing critical path, navigating material through approvals, keeping stakeholders and internal partners informed through meeting notes and status reports, managing vendors, obtaining quotes and keeping projects on budget, reporting on result
Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with marketing vendors and internal partners and stakeholders
Is a proactive, committed member of the Marketing team bringing fresh ideas to the table, troubleshooting issues to find solutions, and supporting team members with a positive “can do” attitude

Skills and Abilities required:
Experience planning and implementing multi-faceted marketing programs employing a range of online and offline channels including website, advertising, social media, events, and custom publications
Experience managing email marketing programs, website content updates and social media includes working knowledge of relevant technologies and reporting tools (e.g.ExactTarget, Luminate, Eloqua, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Adwords, Google Analytics)
Sound knowledge of the print and digital production process across a range of formats
Experience managing projects independently from creative development through final delivery using appropriate tools: project briefs, critical path, status reports, communication updates
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with experience moving projects through a variety of stakeholders and staff team members
Proactive with excellent ability to handle multiple assignments consecutively, prioritize tasks and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Resourceful, able to successfully troubleshoot issues to find solutions while maintaining a positive disposition
Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communications skills

Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 year college diploma or university degree in Marketing or equivalent
Minimum 3-4 years’ work experience in a marketing environment
Minimum 3-4 years project management experience
Strong working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Professional, Microsoft
Office required
