Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, HR Projects is responsible for effectively managing specific projects and initiatives that directly support the Human Resources strategy through design, development and delivery. The incumbent works directly with Human Resources Business Partners, COE teams and multiple areas within the core businesses and levels within the enterprise to deliver superior project results.

Accountabilities:
Manage various projects through all stages of a typical project life cycle
Support and prepare detailed project charters and corresponding plans, lead/organize project team meetings, direct and coordinate project activities in order to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and within budget
Review project plans on a regular basis, prepare and submit weekly status reports, define context and limitations, monitor project deliverables and communicate to Project Steering Committee and Project Committee on a regular basis to various stakeholders
Work with project team(s) to identify and assess project risks and mitigation strategies, take a disciplined approach to managing project issues and risks
Lead and organize tasks to be carried out as part of analysis and implementation, and ensure they are completed in line with project timelines
Coordinate internal and external resources; including vendors, subject matter experts, IT, translation, etc. to ensure completion of projects
Direct, coordinate and/or manage implementation of solutions/changes including change management
Influence and work in collaboration with project teams and various internal stakeholder groups on an ongoing basis
Act as a strategic thought partner to Human Resources VP/SVP, their respective teams and Business Units

Role Requirements:
Minimum 5 years previous work experience; Human Resources and retail experience strongly preferred
University degree or Post-secondary education
Exceptional organizational, planning and execution skills
Considerable knowledge of the Human Resource function, along with a solid understanding of the various business unit work environments/models and their specific needs/requirements (Merchandising, Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Corporate Retail, Franchise Retail, union and non-union environments, etc.).
Willingness and ability to champion Blue Culture and act as an ambassador of the HR function to service all divisions
Strong, presentation, facilitation, organizational and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence, effectively communicate ideas and develop strong partnerships across Human Resources and Business Units in all levels in the organizations
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage timelines to ensure delivery of project objectives.
Previous experience in developing detailed project plans using project management tools and methodologies considered an asset
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment
Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
