Reporting to the Team Leader of Operating Systems and Deployment Services, you will fill several key roles that are critical to the support of the Board’s computing environment, including providing expert-level support to the PC/LAN specialists working in the field, Helpdesk Analysts & Specialists, Data Centre operators and other Learning Technology Support Services (LTSS) teams. As a Technical Support Analyst, you will be responsible not only for the integration and testing of new hardware and software to be implemented at the Board, but also for researching, developing and implementing tactical and strategic technical plans, as required, to maintain and improve the IT demands of the entire organization, along with providing some technical training.
This multi-faceted job requires a detailed understanding of the Board’s administrative and instructional computing environments, as well as a broad knowledge of operating systems and software, and the ability to apply this in troubleshooting and analyzing problems.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
As a Technical Support Analyst, you will draw upon your post-secondary education in an IT-related field, and your experience with Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 10 7, Apple OSX, and iPad IOS, as well as Azure Active Directory and Active Directory configuration and administration. Your success will also be driven by the following experience, knowledge and skill set:
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven work environment.
- Skills as a team player with excellent organizational capabilities.
- Experience in:
- System & Server backup
- System Monitoring and Management / Event Correlation (MS MoM)
- Configuring and administering WSUS
- Server performance tuning
- Printer and print Server management & configuration.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-oppression, and to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment.
ASSETS:
Knowledge of network routing, DHCP, TFTP, DNS, Web and Cisco switches, and experience with the following will be considered assets:
· Management of enterprise-level messaging system, mobile devices, instant messaging system, and Cloud services
· MS Centre Configuration Manager SCCM
· Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS)
· Azure Arc
· Image Creation: APP-V sequencing, MSI Packaging, Sysprep

Salary range: $67,651 - $80,325 per annum
