  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities of industrial equipment, buildings and grounds
  • Install and commissioning of all new and/or modified equipment
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
  • Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are complied with
  • Develop, implement and support of IATF 16949 activities


  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Understanding of machinery installation, assembly, maintenance, service, repair & overhaul
  • Adjusting machinery and equipment, Start-up and testing, shutdown operations
  • Fabricating machine parts,
  • Renovating and restoring, rigging, handling and troubleshooting equipment
  • Centering and setting to elevation
  • Operation of computer controlled equipment
  • Knowledge of Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Knowledge of conveyors, Gas plant and shop compressors, Pumps and compressors, Hoists and other lifting devices
  • Knowledge of Grinders, Welding equipment, Gas and air dryers, Heat exchangers, Automated and robotics systems,
  • Knowledge of stainless steel welding
  • Knowledge of Lathes and other machining tools, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of Power transmission systems, press brakes and metalworking equipment, Power transmission systems,
  • Knowledge of Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG)
  • Ability to Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Construct foundations for machinery,
  • Ability to plan and organize job tasks
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes
  • Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  • Working knowledge of Electrical and electronic controls
  • Working knowledge of PLC’s including Allen Bradley 500 and 5000 series, ControlLogix, RSLinx and FactoryTalk software
  • Understanding of SCADA systems, distributed HMI systems and networking concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict management
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards and compliance
  • Knowledge of ESA and CSA standards as they pertain to electrical safety and safeguarding of machinery compliance
  • Knowledge and experience using a Quality Management System i.e. IATF16949 or ISO 9001
  • Proficient in the use of computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and Power point
  • Exceptional planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with contractors, vendors and service providers

Pay: $30.15/hr + Medical and Dental Benefits, Pension

Job Type: Full-time, 8hr shift, Monday to Friday
