Reporting to the Program Manager, Corporate Technology and Innovation, RACE21™ the Program Controls Lead, Scheduling and Planning, RACE21™ is responsible for implementing procedures, systems, and scheduling and planning methods for a program of Business and Technology Transformation projects.

This is a hands-on role for a person with significant people skills that can lead and guide senior experts in a wide range of functions without authority.

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Prepare a roll-up report of the master schedule to present to the senior management team
Collaborate with team leads to develop new schedules for technical and organizational change projects across a wide range of functions
Prepare and execute the program scheduling management plans
Assist with preparation of the overall Program Control Plans
Analyze the impact of project changes on the program and project schedules, and participate in the project change management process
Support the preparation of various Teck periodic status reports
Perform quality reviews on project schedules. Recommend corrective actions and supervise their implementation
Integrate project schedules into overall program master schedule

Undergraduate degree in related disciplines is preferred
10-15 years’ experience in Program Controls or Project scheduling and Planning Roles is required
Experience in rolling wave planning techniques is essential
Experience in agile project management preferred
Hands on experience in developing and maintaining schedules in Primavera including performing live updates in meetings is required
Experience working on digital technology and business transformation projects, Program, or portfolio is preferred
Knowledge of organizational governance and corporate activities is preferred
Comfortable with interfacing numerous senior level experts with different technical and experience backgrounds and capable of navigating the discussions to reach a consensus
Ability to listen, maintain a flexible mindset when facing ambiguity, and work collaboratively with teams across a wide variety of function is essential
