The Opportunity

TransX has an exciting opportunity for a Traffic (Pricing) Analyst within our Traffic Department located in Winnipeg.

Reporting to the Director of Traffic, the position of Traffic (Pricing) Analyst is responsible for conducting rate and market analysis and developing rates for both new and existing customers. You will work closely with internal customers (Sales, A/R, Billing and Operations) to complete freight bids as well as negotiate rates based on current market conditions for our external customers.


Manage accounts and perform account analytics for trending and reporting.
Respond to customer rate requests in an accurate and timely manner
Process and analyze freight bid packages
Evaluate and determine pricing of freight ensuring profitability guidelines are met
Work closely with sales team to understand customer needs
Proactively monitors and anticipate accounts to identify errors and create solutions
Manage pricing expirations and contract expirations of assigned accounts and conduct rate reviews
Prepare reports and provide recommendations to management.
Other projects and duties as needed.

Post- Secondary Education in Business Administration, Operations and/or Logistics
Minimum 2+ years’ related experience within transportation, sales, operations or pricing or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Strong computer and business solutions software skills including Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc)
Proven analytical (quantitative), investigative and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
Good judgment and ability to make sound and logical decisions or recommendations
Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to present problems and solutions effectively to various types of audiences
Highly self-motivated and directed with the flexibility to work independently or part of a team
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
