Why is this role important?

In this role, you would be a part of Market Analytics team within the Loblaw Real Estate Department. Our mission is to guide and inform the company on the “where” for any innovative concepts, leveraging data with a customer centric perspective.

You are thoughtful in the questions you ask, passionate about unpacking and framing problems and have experience in applying a range of qualitative research methods that yield actionable insights.

Your practice will naturally span across our enterprise — as we are our retail locations have a national reach. You equally enjoy looking at the bigger picture and focusing in on the details that make experiences authentic at scale.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for developing our e-grocery, beauty, apparel and traditional grocery analytics by leveraging the various datasets hosted in LCL’s network.
Operate with intellectual curiosity and critically assess existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement
Develop complex analyses requiring the integration of multiple data sources, evaluation of data quality, and standardization of data to consistent format/structure
Summarize and present data outcomes, recommendations, and methodology to business units
Hold oneself accountable for the accuracy, completeness, quality, and relevance of deliverables to own the end-to-end analytical process, from data gathering to analysis to formatting and presentation
Exhibit collaborative attitude, willingness to work with others on data projects that included working team(s) made of cross departmental/interdisciplinary users
Additional ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications

A strategic problem-solver that gets excited about solving complex challenges
Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments
Strong organization skills with particular attention to detail
Advanced Microsoft 365 Suite – prefer excellent PowerPoint skills; creative and thoughtful in putting together presentations
Experience working with SQL, Access and BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc) is preferred
Experience transforming data into a digestible and presentable story based on the audience and expertise in communicating with different audiences
Passionate about helping team members reach their personal and team goals while creating a positive culture
University degree preferred
