Haywood is looking to hire a Technology Support Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operations and technical support services to meet the service requirements for Haywood Securities Inc. They will ensure that platforms, networks, business objects and applications of the infrastructure are available and operating to specified/planned levels of performance and support. Responsibilities include problem assistance, vendor management, audit and oversight, infrastructure oversight, project management, cost management and training.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting the desktop support team with escalated issues and serving as a valuable resource and provide training where necessary
Provide backup support for onsite desktop support staff as needed
Manage, maintain, test and document disaster recovery environment
Manage IT compliance and standards by adhering and contributing to processes, policies, and tools within the company
Provide vendor oversight through proactive auditing of processes and controls including change management.
Review investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities
Provide input and act as a resource for related technical infrastructure projects
Manage physical asset tracking
Assist security audits and remediation efforts
Manage security patch enforcement
Manage quarterly vulnerability assessments and enforce remediation if necessary
Provisioning and revocation of employee credentials across disparate systems
Manage subscriptions and maintenance contracts
Provide cost management and account reconciliation for various IT services
Document and maintain IT procedures and site documentation.
Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs.
Perform other IT related duties/tasks as required
Strong inter-personal skills are required, in combination with, the ability to mentor and provide direction and motivation to other employees.
Excellent communications and presentation skills coupled with the ability to deal with all levels of the organization.
Stay abreast of new technologies and tools relative to their position in order evaluate and make recommendation in these areas.
Ability to multi-task and work effectively and efficiently in a high-paced environment.
Network and/or Microsoft Certification
Beneficial to have:
Microsoft Office 365 Admin experience
Microsoft certification(s) – MCSA or MCITP
Cisco CCNA, CCNP; Fortinet NSE and/or other networking certifications
Understanding of Financial Services software and tools such as Dataphile Desktop, CDS, DTCC, Thomson, Fidessa, etc.
