Business Development Representative

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Business Development Team.

We require help connecting with new prospective customers to build a strong sales funnel.

The Business Development Representative is a specialized, highly trained & skilled member of the Sales team who will drive targeted marketing campaigns in the Small Business category, while driving lead generation for both the Medium and Enterprise segments.

This role requires a professional and enthusiastic disposition. You continuously look for opportunities to improve, innovate and leverage best practices.

You will be responsible for direct sales, and lead generation in this role.

Business Development Rep Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with prospects that show an interest in our service offerings.
  • Move prospects through the marketing process.
  • Escalate qualified leads to the Sales Team.
  • Enter or update prospect information into the CRM system.
  • Carry out outbound calls that generate leads.
  • Prospect, generate, and qualify leads through outbound telephone calls and emails for various call lists.
  • Present value proposition clearly and succinctly.
  • Provide weekly, monthly callout results.
  • Report on the success of marketing campaigns, and the velocity of prospects through the sales cycle.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Business Development Rep Requirements:

  • Strong Communications & Presentation Skills.
  • Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers including C-level executives.
  • Ability to structure verbal and written communications to strongly influence stakeholders in the purchasing process.

Educational Background & Experience:

  • Completion of post-secondary Diploma or Degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) years proven success in direct business-to-business sales, business-to-business cold calling, or phone-based business-to-business prospecting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit proficient use of computer software applications – MS Office.
  • Results driven and self motivated.
  • Enjoy the challenge of developing new business.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
