Manager, Central Assortment System Support

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Central Assortment & Space Planning Systems, the Manager, Central Assortment System Support plays a key role in supporting the Central Assortment team in improving and maintaining the effectiveness of core objectives, providing subject matter expertise & guidance on day to day assortment strategy. As a category support team, the role involves frequent interactions with Category & other cross functional areas as required on ad-hoc/ day to day need, aswell as consistent interaction with our IT counterparts to support the technical aspects of the assortment functions. The role includes 2 direct reports who support various functions within the Central assortment team. This includes but is not limited to AIC support for planograms, UAT testing for technical deployments, ad-hoc project support, etc.

Key areas of success for the role require both a strong technical knowledge of SAP, with knowledge of the assortment functions in SAP a huge asset as-well as strong interpersonal skills when working with cross functional teams and the ability to make informed decisions as needed. Additional key accountabilities and requirements are noted below:

Accountabilities

Analyze, troubleshoot and root cause system defects, log tickets where required and identify enhancement opportunities related to the assortment object
Lead meeting with IT COE to discuss issues, provide detailed business requirements and prioritization
Identify test cases for UAT releases, execute testing, document and provide sign off
Represent the Central Assortment team as a subject matter expert while working and partnering with various business stakeholders in cross functional projects
Support the documentation and creation of existing and new processes as business needs evolve
Provide guidance and support the Central Assortment team as a first point of contact on all process/technical and business related questions
Conduct ad-hoc analysis, provide recommendations and highlight opportunities on assortment activities to maintain healthy data
Provide coaching and guidance to help develop a small team focused optimizing existing processes and leveraging technology such as robotics process optimization
Provide consultation to assortment Sr Leadership on category strategy

What You’ll Need

Post-secondary education - University or College education
At least 3-5 years’ experience working with SAP is critical, including the ability to interpret functional documents, etc.
Cross-functional knowledge of various functions within SAP, and exposure to SAP Assortment objects a huge asset
Ability to identify, communicate prioritization and escalate critical system issues
Possess logical and strong critical thinking skills and able to make independent decisions
Prior experience conducting UAT testing for system releases is a definite asset
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
Strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to resolve situations with colleagues where there may be some level of conflict, stress or uncertainty.
Effective coaching and training abilities, the role will have 2 direct reports.
Self-motivated, self-starter with drive for ongoing learning and development
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize based on urgency and/or timelines
