The Manager, Volunteer Resources (VR), is a leadership role in the Cross Cancer Institute. This position is responsible and accountable for leading an operational team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of VR programs and services in support of the vision, mission and business plan of AHS. The Manager, VR, will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and leaders in order to provide operational leadership to and oversee all related programs and services in the zone. The Manager, VR provides direct support and expert counsel to the Site Director CCI and Senior Management Team on all aspects of Volunteer Resources. The Manager, Volunteer Resources, is accountable for service objectives regarding implementation, operationalization, management and monitoring of the zone delivery of VR services and quality measurement programs to support the provincially integrated VR Department.
The Manager, Volunteer Resources will also be responsible for; Providing leadership to the Volunteer Resources Site Staff to ensure consistent delivery of programs, policy and procedures within the zone. Maintain relationship with the Cross Cancer Institute Volunteer Association Board. Ensures all aspects of Volunteer Resources Management are followed to the highest standard of practice. Maintain contact and provide support to site staff from other departments. Initiating activities and communication to foster a sense of community within the zone between staff and volunteers; promoting the value of volunteer involvement and understanding the Volunteer Resources Departments role.

A minimum of a related Bachelor Degree. Continuing education in Volunteer Management required. CAVR Membership and certification. Personal experience as a volunteer required. A minimum of 5 years in a Volunteer Resources Management role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (health care experience an asset). The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
