Job Summary:
The Purchaser will be responsible for ordering parts and materials and coordinating timely deliveries. Review and organization of received parts, as well as sales order creation. This role requires an industrial background, high level of attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Structural and plate steel purchasing in coordination the with the processing department.
- Purchasing and organizing machined parts and confirming on time delivery.
- Purchasing from vendors for projects and stock and coordinating these items with the assembly and delivery of projects.
- Shipping, receiving and tracking incoming purchases.
- Booking in shipments and tracking of outgoing shipments.
- Pick up and drop off for surrounding area with company vehicle.
- Working with the sales team to assist filling orders
- Practices workplace safety
Requirements
- Ability to satisfy all job related responsibilities as described above
- Comprehend and follow written and spoken directions and work in a safe & efficient manner.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language.
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work in different sites if required
- Valid Driver's License with Clean Drivers Abstract
- Reliable transportation for getting to and from work
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
