Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Plant Accountant, the Office Coordinator will provide administrative support to the St Mary’s location. This role is responsible for the administration of hourly employees, processing payroll and providing back up to the Accounts Payable function.
How you will make contributions that matter:

Provide administrative support to the St Marys location
-
Process payroll activities as directed by the finance team
-
Act as site subject matter expert for Time & Attendance systems (Kronos)
-
Facilitate Operations orientation for new hires – (create punch cards, fobs, new hire package)

Manage Years of Service Awards
-
Roll out corporate communications in conjunction with Plant Manager and/or Human Resources
-
Answering telephone calls and directing messages to the appropriate staff member. Manage traffic flow in/out of the office and greet visitors to the site.

Administer the employee uniform process, including ordering uniforms for new employees, removing terminated employees, etc.

Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.

Manage office supplies stock, and arrange for photocopier repairs, as needed.

Assist with employee relations initiatives – social events

Act as a back-up for Accounts Payable

Take the lead on community initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

Manage PPE inventory and place orders as required

Act as back up for site purchasing
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
-
High school diploma, or equivalent. Business Administration degree an asset
-
Previous experience with Time & Attendance systems an asset.

Previous experience with office administration and/or data administration is an asset.

Previous accounting experience is an asset
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily excel and outlook.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
-
High level of self-motivation and initiative.
