Our client, a large thriving law firm located in the downtown core of Toronto, is looking for a Legal Assistant to support their Corporate Law Clerks!
This is an exciting new position that will begin as an 18-month maternity leave coverage, subsequently transitioning to a floating role, and if desired, a new permanent desk!
Preparing and filing of corporate legal documents using established precedents - i.e. resolutions and minute book materials, incl. share certificates and corporate information sheets
Assisting with others in the Corporate department when required
Preparing and maintaining ledgers and registers within a corporate database
Preparing correspondence, incl. reporting letters
Preparing various government forms within a corporate database- i.e. business name registrations, partnership and limited partnership registrations, etc.
Additional administrative tasks as required to enable the corporate law clerks to complete their assignments
Minimum of 3 years experience as a legal assistant
Corporate experience is considered an asset
Legal assistant or law clerk certification/degree
Strong technical skills, proficient with MS Office, Acumin, CorpLink, Adobe
Knowledge of Oncorp, Cyberbahn, and Strategis websites is considered an asset
Ability to successfully prioritize and multitask
Excellent communication, organization, and proofreading skills
