Our Manitoba Operations is looking for a:
Mill Maintenance Planner

The Opportunity:
Mill Maintenance Planner - The successful applicant will plan work orders, provide a list of materials, tools, supplies and trades required to complete work orders in an effective manner, prepare standard jobs in support of Front-Line Planning and Scheduling.

Demonstrate risk management and comply with all plant, divisional and legislated safety regulations, policies and procedures;
Create and maintain standard jobs, create planned work packages for work orders, update bill of materials;
Manage work order estimated vs. actual cost types, ensure correct allocation of cost to appropriate cost center;
Monitor adherence to Management of Change guidelines;
Provide assistance to Scheduling, as required;
Support affected stakeholders (i.e. Trades people, Technical and Operations) with technical information and equipment details;
Maintain equipment information including drawings, specifications, and parts lists, provide technical expertise for new asset selection and commissioning, maintain critical spares inventory;
Assemble ready to execute job packages;
Review the status of work orders to prioritize planning activities for approved work orders within area of responsibility on a daily basis;
Ensure the identification of resource requirements and readiness for execution prior to the date required for the work to be completed;
Incorporate crew input into planning packages for work execution;
Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders to meet completion deadlines.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Post secondary degree/diploma in a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of similar experience in a maintenance planning or related field;
Applicant should have previous work experience in Maintenance Supervision, Maintenance Planning or a closely related discipline in a heavy industrial or mining environment.

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong computer skills are required;
Previous SAP experience would be an asset;
Understanding Asset Management concepts and systems;
Ability to schedule, prioritize and manage tasks with minimal supervision;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to read prints and schematics;
Scheduling capabilities.
