Owning Broker Marketing Communications, this position will work closely with the business driving decision making and acting as the broker marketing business partner to the Sales & Regional VPs. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategies, engaging key stakeholders, driving change, and ensuring targets and business objectives are achieved through effective marketing communications. This role will develop and execute the digital & traditional broker communications strategy - building, enhancing and driving various vehicles/channels - targeting our key broker and customer segments. Leading the general/digital marketing communications, optimizing broker relationships through broker engagement, and insight & segmentation research. Reporting to the Director, Marketing the individual will work with head office and regional partners to deliver broker marketing communication strategies. This role will also work closely with and obtain guidance from the VP, Sales and Distribution. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Defining, agreeing and maintaining the segment/channel marketing strategy and targets needed to achieve the overall business strategy & goals - ultimately increasing sales, profile & preference through our channels. Directing the delivery of the broker marketing strategy; communicating associated accountabilities to customer insight, brand and proposition managers, agreeing to associated delivery plans and KPIs and taking action to address performance issues. Aligning to Head Office & Regional VP's; develop and support marketing communications strategy/programs that support their key objectives (whether sales, communication & proposition related) -includes events, sponsorships, research, engagement, media, direct & digital communications. Providing effective, best practice advice and consultancy to members of the SLT team, head-office / regional leadership and other senior stakeholders as appropriate. Including channel/intermediary partners. Building and maintaining relationships with senior colleagues from across the business to ensure the necessary capacity, capability, working practices, and commitment are in place to achieve the marketing strategy. Lead Marketing Specialist(s) through the application of performance management & talent development methods - providing support, mentoring & guidance to other junior members of the wider team as well. Effectively manage external suppliers to ensure that projects and services are delivered on time, on budget and in-line with requirements. Defining and embedding the required standards of marketing excellence and best practice needed to achieve the broker marketing strategy and ensure competitve advantage - following the best practice and Enterprise, legal & regulatory requirements. Leading & motivating peers/ suppliers/ stakeholders /matrix reports (as applicable) to ensure delivery of the required standard of outperformance. Perform other duties as assigned.
