When it comes to integral, transferable business skills, it doesn't get much more valuable than hands-on Supply Chain experience. Cavendish Farms is seeking a Supply Chain specialist to fill the role of Deployment Planner, overseeing shipments and meeting the targets of our many locations, both in North America and Internationally. Managing inventory, coordinating with transport management software, assisting communication between plants.
Reporting to the Deployment Team Lead, this is a role that requires the ability to multitask and keep a high performance-pace while maintaining impeccable attention to detail. If you have what it takes to step up and take the reins, we want to reward your skills.
Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Strong attention to detail;
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills & demonstrated team player;
A solid understanding of inventory management practices;
Must be fluent in MS Office software;
University degree or college diploma;
Experience in JD Edwards, Cognos, and transportation management software would be considered an asset
Build and update transfer shipments within the inventory and transportation management software;
Initiate and coordinate communication between the plants and carriers regarding shipping/receiving product and maintaining appropriate inventory levels;
Manage and maintain appropriate safety stock levels in outside warehouses;
Work closely with customer service, planners and distribution to ensure timely execution of the deployment process and cost effective flow of product within the network;
Back up for Inventory administrator position
Process/receive all warehouse receipts in company inventory computer system and resolve inbound shipment errors
Process all warehouse shipments and resolve outbound shipment errors. Troubleshoot discrepancies as needed.
Communicate with 3rd party warehouse in order to process inventory adjustments in company inventory computer system
Develop, build and maintain reporting mechanisms to identify existing or potential inventory issues related to deployment;
Support or lead project activities associated with the development and continuous improvement of the deployment planning process;
Perform other duties as required
