Key Objectives for Data Quality Associate:
The role encompasses a number of tasks in support of the Retail Banking and Wealth Management Data Governance mandate designed to strengthen data management capabilities by ensuring all critical data is fit-for-purpose and of high quality. One of the key objectives will be identifying and resolving customer data quality issues as they arise and supporting customer ongoing monitoring requirements with performance based on agreed timescales.
The principal accountability of the Data Quality Associate is to provide support to evaluate, maintain and improve customer data quality across Retail Banking and Wealth Management . The job will involve the following activities:
Perform routine remediation activities and processes ensuring accuracy of tasks performed
Identify and escalate data quality issues and trends
Plan and coordinate remediation and ongoing monitoring activities
Support root cause analysis of data quality issues
Support data preparation and processing for ongoing monitoring activities
Provide customer relationship support for data quality issues raised by Network
Engage with key stakeholders across other teams and departments as required
Support data governance internal reporting requirements
Support decision making through provision of advice and guidance to stakeholders within area of specialization
Support colleagues to ensure cost effectiveness of operations
Demonstrate a “Customer 1 st Now” mindset, balancing data quality compliance with a customer-service attitude
Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree and/or with equivalent industry/functional experience
Excellent understanding of Know Your Customer, financial regulatory environment and regulatory risk implications
Previous Know Your Customer experience
Thorough understanding of Retail Banking & Wealth Management and various client propositions
Sound knowledge of financial regulatory requirements
Sound knowledge of Know Your Customer update processes and procedures
Ability to assess, interpret and make recommendations on with respect to data quality issues
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within the team and with internal stakeholders
Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy
Self-driven and takes initiative
Good understanding of Microsoft Office and proven skills on Staff Front-End banking platform
Previous experience in working for data quality / Know Your Customer teams is desirable.
