The mission for the Marketing and Promotions Assistant is to conceptualize, design and create materials to drive customer and brand awareness for increased casino revenue as well as materials needed to publicize and create a compelling experience at special events.
Collaborate with Marketing Manager to turn ideas into compelling images and content that grab customer attention by leveraging Photoshop, Illustrator and other desktop publishing tools.
Create marketing materials for both print and digital, including but not limited to flyers, advertisements, coupons, posters, banners, video, special event materials, etc.
Create a calendar of compelling digital images and videos to support social media.
Manage the Cowboys Casino website by regularly updating and adding content according to seasonal changes, promotions, events, specials etc.
Manage the Winner’s Edge Player Loyalty Program and liaise with the AGLC Marketing Team
Ensures promotional rules are written and submitted on time to meet all AGLC rules regulations.
Assist the Marketing Manager with coordinating casino promotions and events to drive new business or generate repeat visits.
Be available to help set up, execute and clean up events; be a point of contact and coordinator for vendors and staff members on event days.
Make appropriate use of available resources as directed by management.
Conveys positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on the guest interaction.
Continuously improves service by assessing service problems using player
feedback or data.
Maintains relationships with preferred vendors/suppliers of goods and services required to host events.
Support and cultivate new ideas and methods to deliver business solutions.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the industry, current market trends and all on property and competitor events.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and a hospitable attitude while representing the casino at special events.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Post-Secondary (Marketing, Business Related Field).
Marketing experience is preferred.
Experience in creating print, digital and video media for marketing purposes.
Proficiency with graphic design, layout, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and desktop publishing tools.
Proficiency in managing and adding content to a website and website design.
Knowledge of marketing techniques, strategies, and campaigns relating to the casino industry.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well in a team environment and a self starter.
