We are looking for a Membership Advisor to join our awesome team. The Membership Advisor will be responsible for all aspects of the studio's sales and administrative duties. This position requires a solid understanding of sales and customer service excellence. As the primary role for the sales function, the Membership Advisor must execute lead generation, make calls, book appointments and close sales in order to boost membership growth. The membership advisor will be able to work well as an individual and in a team while being part of a fun, friendly, and professional environment.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

Membership Sales and Retention

  • Sell memberships and ensure individual goals are achieved
  • Service walk-ins, guests, and incoming calls
  • Process membership renewals and retail apparel/pro-shop sales
  • Create and execute effective referral programs
  • Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service
  • Handles member concerns in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution
  • Responsible for proper onboarding of all Hers Kickboxing clients
  • Book appointments
  • Adhere to and promote monthly marketing
  • Conduct follow-up calls to ensure all prospects/leads are being serviced
  • Conduct customer care/service calls to ensure highest member retention possible
  • Develop & build positive and valuable relationships with every person who walks into Hers Kickboxing, both on a personal and professional levels
  • Help Studio Manager organize all club events, community involvements, and member retention incentives/programs

Administration

  • Work collaboratively with the entire staff to improve the overall company effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assists with inventory, customer service, and facilities maintenance
  • Participates in the company’s marketing and social media efforts to promote the studio and brand
  • Participates in regular sales meetings
  • Attends training workshops, meetings, and seminars provided by the company
  • Responsible for apparel/pro-shop revenue
  • Participate in a high energy culture, with members and staff, while maintaining a high level of communication & teamwork
  • Maintain safe and clean studio (checklist)
  • Thorough club/sales administration tasks and organization

Job Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of the fitness industry and personal health & fitness
  • Must possess excellent planning, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Previous sales experience required (health & fitness industry sales strongly preferred)
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, manage change, and client concerns
  • Strong computer skills required with knowledge of Mindbody and Google Suites an asset
  • Ability to establish & maintain professional working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Exemplary written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand, live, & embrace the company culture
  • Health & Fitness minded people with a passion for fitness strongly preferred

Experience

  • Previous sales experience
  • Fitness industry sales experience (preferred)

Education

Post-secondary education an asset

First Aid, CPR certification
