Maritime Broadcasting System (MBS Radio) has an exciting and rare opportunity for a morning personality in Charlottetown. MBS Radio is a locally owned and operated group of 23 radio stations across the Maritimes. Max 931 is the only rock station on PEI. Yes, we have Canada’s best beaches, golf courses and seafood and a unique environment/culture.
Responsibilities:
- Morning show hosting
- Deliver strong, fresh and compelling material daily
- Updating and monitoring social media and websites
- Extensive involvement in the community, including public appearances at charitable, community, promotional and commercial events
- Commercial voicing, voice tracking and remotes
- Assisting the team in developing and executing contests and promotions
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of full-time commercial radio experience
- A positive, out-going and can-do attitude
- A team player who is also a self-starter
- A clear understanding of what local radio is all about
- You are a leader, not a follower
- You possess a valid driver’s license
- Computer literate and fluent in social media
- Knowledge of MusicMaster and WideOrbit are assets
- Familiarity with the Maritimes is an asset
