The Role: Part-Time, General Mills Retail Sales Representative - approx. 18-19 HRS/WK

Position Summary:
Our client is General Mills, whose brands - such as Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Old El Paso and Yoplait & Liberte Yogurt, are enjoyed in more than 100 countries on six continents. Your role is to identify business development opportunities to drive sales within an assigned geographical territory.

What You’ll Be Doing Every Day:
Represent General Mills Canada in a professional manner by providing retail customers with the best service
Work with your Manager to establish territory goals based on company objectives and develop strategies to meet and/or exceed a sales targets by:
Developing customer relations to become a trusted advisor
Introducing new products and promotional events into the market
Leveraging selling skills to solicit orders for Account Bookings to meet established targets
Recognizing and utilizing regional sales trends in order to maximize in-store performance
Negotiating the best possible Gold Standard shelf set or Plan-o-gram to maximize sales for each account while ensuring each account is carrying the right SKU mix for that specific store
Closing distribution gaps by ensuring full product distribution with a fixed position and shelf tags in compliance to Listing Sheets
Using sales tools provided to identify opportunities & gaps to determine action plan to drive sales, improve distribution gaps, recognize underperforming categories, and increase overall profitability in your territory
Providing feedback and insight on retail conditions and/or issues as they are encountered
Capitalizing on new sales opportunities
Other duties as required. (display build execution, set relines, etc…)

Your Experience:
Ideally 1-3 years of territory sales and merchandising experience
Superior communication and presentation skills
Amazing relationship building skills
Strong selling skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to influence/lead change
Strong personal drive, positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills are essential
Aptitude for fast learning, and ability to self-support with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
