Working closely with TAK's General Manager, our Operations Manager will be an important catalyst to our continued growth. In this leadership role, you will drive our culture forward by managing and coaching our Operations team. You will be responsible for making business decisions independently, collaborating with our leadership team to execute on our strategic plan.
You are a confident decision-maker and effective problem-solver with a passion for development. You will leverage your strong background in business, reporting and analytics to inform and guide TAK Logistics forward. Your previous management experience allows you to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges and manage 'traffic' effectively.
Leadership & Business Operations
Deliver business insights and reports to senior management to inform decision making, strategy and planning.
Grow the business by maintaining key operational client & vendor relationships.
Drive operational improvements and efficiency gains, including implementing technology.
Build, manage and train the Operations team to achieve performance goals.
Coach & support the Operations team to ensure continued development and growth, including providing training and resources.
Lead the driver team, including engaging Owner Operators to ensure they feel connected and supported.
Manage Owner Operator capacity, maximizing driver utilization and available capacity.
Lead day-to-day operations, including yard and equipment management.
Oversee driver safety, including developing programs and resources to keep operations moving efficiently and safely.
5+ years of progressive experience, including experience leading people
Undergraduate degree or certification in Business Administration or Management
Analytic, comfortable making business decisions using data
Exceptional problem-solving abilities
Relentlessly committed to growth, personally and for the business
Self-motivated & independent, comfortable working autonomously
Engaging leadership style with experience leading a diverse team
Experience implementing and using technology
Advanced computer skills and the ability to drive data analytics and insights
Excellent written and verbal communication
