Supply Chain Analyst – Supply Chain Analytics Team

Wolseley Canada’s Supply Chain Analytics Team is an internal service provider to Wolseley Canada’s supply chain, which services over 150 locations across Canada, meeting and exceeding the highest customer expectations for on-time delivery, on-shelf availability, and pricing. The Supply Chain Analytics Team prides itself on providing insights, delivering timely and accurate information, collaborating across departments, and giving leadership to drive growth of our business and the success of our customers. The Supply Chain Analyst is an integral part of this team.


Identify supply chain improvement opportunities, work with key internal stakeholders to resolve issues by assessing root causes and providing data-based recommendations
Provide data stewardship for Supply Chain IT systems
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ERP and databases for reporting and operational continuity
Maintain master and transactional data in ERP on a timely and accurate basis
Develop, maintain, and provide insights on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly supply chain reports; identify and execute automation and process improvements to reduce effort in report generation and distribution; work with report process and data owners to troubleshoot issues
Prepare periodic executive reporting package
Host and lead regular meetings to conduct process/system improvement initiatives
Perform supply chain planning system administrative tasks and document business requirements, processes changes, and system configurations
Generate and update documentation on reports, databases, and business processes owned by SC Analytics Team
Analyze network optimization opportunities
Analyze inventory trends and participate in inventory improvement initiatives
Support logistics and distribution optimization initiatives
Support development of budgets, forecasts, and associated variance analyses
Support supply chain operations through reporting, analysis and consultations
Support the development and execution of plans related to strategic initiatives
Other ad hoc duties as required


Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics or Science is preferred
1-3 years' experience in supply chain, preferably in retail or wholesale distribution, in planning, logistics, transportation, supply chain IT, or supply chain finance
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills are required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization and builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Highly motivated with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and willing to go the extra miles if needed to support the ongoing growing business
Programming knowledge such as MS SQL Server, Power Query, VBA programing and VBScript coding is an asset
Advanced skills in building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, MS Access, Excel, and AS/400
Working experience with Oracle ERP and Slim4 are preferable
Working effectively with time constraints and meeting deadlines within the fast-paced work environment
Attention to detail and accuracy and able to manage conflict
