GIS Mapping Technician (16 month term)
Kamloops or Lumby, BC
The GIS Mapping Technician (term) position will provide mapping and support services to staff to achieve operational goals and objectives while adhering to established BC mapping standards and data management protocols. Duties will include delivering on requirements for operational mapping as well as data management and reporting to meet a variety of needs.
University degree or technical diploma in GIS or related field;
Minimum of 2 year’s experience in operational mapping;
Technical experience in production of GIS based map products;
Working knowledge of the ESRI suite of tools;
Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills;
Familiarity with forest industry would be considered an asset.
