Matte PR is a boutique agency with an eclectic client roster. We believe that successful PR begins with a diverse team.

We service fashion, beauty, real estate, retail, development, food & beverage and tech.

We’re currently hiring a social media specialist to manage clients inside fashion and real estate, while offering support to colleagues and the agency as part of this role. At Matte PR we collaborate as a team.

The social media specialist will work on social content, digital ads, MailChimp and Shopify.

Experience with direct-to-consumer fashion brands is an asset.

Duties/Assignments

  • Social Media Content Production and Curation
  • Leading, initiating and creating social media ads (e.g. Facebook and Instagram)
  • Optimizing e-commerce sales through Facebook, Instagram & Mailchimp
  • Monitor performance of all social media channels and compile reports
  • Analyzing Shopify metrics and creating content designed to engage with target audience
  • Benchmarking progress against market competition and provide recommendations based on insights and learnings
  • Develop strategies to improve click through rates, gain followers and increase impressions
  • Offer creative ideas and strategy while exploring new developments in the social media landscape.
  • Support PR consultants in executing other PR activities as they see fit.

  • Understand the fashion landscape, pop-culture and the conversations that live within it
  • Be informed on the real estate market in Toronto and nationally
  • Most importantly, a good eye for visuals and art direction
  • Experience with social media creation, curation and management
  • Knowledge in using social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Experience with social media ad/scheduling tools (e.g. Facebook Ads, Buffer) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Post-Secondary Education (Bachelor’s/Diploma) in Communications, Business, Social Media or Marketing
