HRIS Analyst who is equally passionate about serving the community and achieving operational success alongside our dedicated and loyal employees. This role will be based in the Mississauga office and interested candidates are encouraged to apply below.
The HRIS Analyst is an integral position within the HR department. The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of the human resource information system (HRIS – Ulti Pro/Ultimate Software) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. This position is responsible for a variety of day-to-day administrative HRIS functions ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS analyst also supports system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
Production Support: Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Projects/Process Improvement: Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Act as subject matter expert for compensation-related projects and process improvements.
Reports/Queries: Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
Training: Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users
Individual Development: Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree/Certificate in Human Resources
Minimum of 2-3 years of HRIS experience with Ulti Pro/Ultimate software.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of experience in a related Human Resources role
Must work well in a fast–paced and ambiguous environment with the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously and work with changing priorities
Demonstrated negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in problem resolution
Effective interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to influence decisions is required
Ability to work with senior leadership to implement effective change management processes
Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality; ethical
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization
Comprehensive knowledge of Canada Labor Code (CLC), Human Rights, Accommodation, etc.
CHRP (Certified Human Resources Profession) designation would be an asset
Transportation experience/knowledge an asset
