As a Web Developer with Delta Controls, you work with your project team to create leading-edge user interfaces for worldwide use in the Building Controls industry. Your versatility and adaptability are very important as you work on rapidly evolving products in a rapidly evolving industry.

The developers in the Access Control team are passionate about developing new and innovative solutions for access control, security and surveillance. As a Web/Full Stack Software Developer you will work on designing and implementing dashboards, widgets and other UI components for our next generation access control solution. You will actively participate in all stages of the development process such as brainstorming ideas, design, implementation, QA testing, functional reviews and continuous improvement. During every development cycle each developer is assigned a research task to explore new technologies, tools or ideas which may be applied to a future release.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
Working with UI/UX Designers on conceptual design of new products.
Taking ownership for individual features from requirements to completion while continually striving for a high quality user experience.
Employing leading-edge tools and techniques to create innovative Web Server and Mobile Applications.
Development of highly interactive AJAX web client application components. E.g. Dynamic Charts, Dashboard, Real-time data presentation.
Working with the Web Team to create environmental control products on multiple OS platforms (Windows and Linux).
Developing server-side support for the UI team to create innovative Web Server and Mobile Applications.
Developing secure web server applications (avoiding cross-site scripting, SQL injection, etc., vulnerabilities).
Development of REST API according to published standards.

Main skills required:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with PHP, JavaScript and AngularJS.
Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
Experience with Docker containers and Cloud platform is an asset.
Experience with Zend and other UI Frameworks is a bonus.
Ability to learn quickly and develop new skills.
Any of these skills would be considered an asset but are not required:

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
Experience working with Python, C++ or C#.
Experience with access control, security or video surveillance systems.
