The ERP Project is a business transformation project with a vision: “Timely access to information that drives decision making”. The GNB ERP Solution will cover the following three business domains: Human Resource Management, Financial Management and Procurement. The goal of the ERP Project is to build and implement, across all parts of GNB (Part I, II, III and sections of part IV – NBCC and CCNB), a quality ERP solution. The Finance and Treasury Board and SNB are partners in the delivery of a single ERP Solution for Government. This project will support, and be a step towards, the objectives of the Digital New Brunswick Strategy to support enterprise information sharing and enable citizen and business centric provision of public services in the most efficient and effective manner using digital technologies. This solution will be developed over time and will encompass multiple business processes, technology systems, and information.
GNB recognizes that to enable the implementation of such a large-scale project that data migration will be a key activity. The ERP project team has developed an approved data migration strategy that will be foundational to the success of the project. The tool of choice for data migration will be SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to move data from existing systems to a secure data server where full data analysis activities will be executed. When the project is ready to migrate data from existing systems to our ERP system, SSIS will be used where possible.
Based on the ERP project plan, GNB needs to start data migration activities that involve a resource that has a skill set in SSIS.
The primary focus of the SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Developer under the terms of this Statement of Work will be to work with the ERP data migration team to develop and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
