IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR: Head of Rehabilitation Unit / Head of programs
DIRECTION: Direction of Regional Rehabilitation Services

The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is a multivocational institution in Nunavik, which serves seven villages of the coast of Ungava Bay including Kuujjuaq, where is located the administrative center. The Health Center has nearly 400 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists.

We also seek to receive application from candidates who might be interested in applying on vacant positions. It could be for permanent full-time position or temporary full-time replacement of 6 months and more, according to the needs of the Health Center.

FUNCTIONS:
The person shall ensure, within the rehabilitation unit, support, monitoring and facilitation for youth referred to it. Welcomes young clients and manages in time of crisis, disruptive behavior, or help in time of special needs. In addition, can be called, in terms of support to stakeholders, to attend when the situation requires it. Meets some of the needs of young people according to the rehabilitation goals pursued. Intervene even physically when the situation requires and proceed with searches on users when requested. Observes the behavior of the clients and share observations through significant reports within the continued treatment of the young. Carries out safety rounds at the facility.

Qualifications
High school diploma
Bilingualism (English-French) spoken and written, Inuktitut would be an asset
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Valid driver’s license
Capacity to adapt to a clientele from a different cultural background
Be sensitive, understanding and emotionally mature and display a positive attitude
Available to work day, evening and week-end shiftsWilling to participate in any training provided by the employer or educational institution and deemed necessary for a more effective performance of their duties or tasks
Share knowledge and skills, work in collaboration with other interveners

Experience required Conditions and benefits
If you have a desire of a professional experience in a Nordic context, we invite you to join our team. Anyone recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality where he is required to perform his duties, shall be entitled to : three or four vacation trips per year (as per the family status), housing provided free of charge (transit or shared lodging if necessary) moving and storage expenses.
