Provides program support under the direction of Director Programs and Patient Services.
May provide staffing and payroll support to OR, PACU, MDR, Day Surgery and Short Stay.
Provides clerical support for special projects such as: SIMS, Stats, Data collection, Quality reports.
Working in a confidential capacity, provides support to the Director of Programs and Managers and for all matters pertaining to Surgery program.
Initiates requisitions for nonstock supplies, equipment and maintenance repairs, maintains records for all equipment and supplies.
General office routines.
Demonstrates ability to provide continuous quality services.
Participates in current professional groups, reading and attendance at workshops and seminars related to position.
A minimum of one year of experience in the health care field required.
Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications required (Includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher).
Demonstrated experience in organizing and coordinating multiple projects concurrently required.
Demonstrates proficiency in scheduling and payroll systems (ESP, SAP) preferred
Demonstrates proficiency in SIMS (surgery integration management system) for all data collection preferred.
Completion of a recognized Medical Secretarial Course required.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated strong listening, verbal and written communication skills, complemented by good problem solving skills required.
The ability to perform the position on a regular basis.
Salary commensurate with education and qualifications.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
