Position Summary

We are seeking a Perioperative Certified Nurse to join our team of Operating Room RNs. The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable to Creston Valley Hospital’s (CVH) ever-changing environment.

There is one operating room suite and the hospital is a 20 acute bed site. Surgical services are scheduled 3 days and we handle procedures such as gynecology/OBS, C-Section, D & C, excision of ganglion, vasectomies, surface cancer excision, and upper and lower GI scoping. Our hours of operation are 0700 – 1500 hrs with on-call overnight with the aim of 24/7 on call to support C-Section and Trauma coverage.

Shifts are Days 07:00 to 15:00 hours and would fall on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays plus OR on-call.

  • Please upload a copy of your valid CPR and Perioperative Certificates with your application*
Education, Training and Experience:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC).
  • Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area (perioperative nursing) and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility.
