Job Summary

Are you a Salesperson that has experience closing deals?

Our core business is metal recycling. We are dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint by being environmentally responsible through the recycling of scrap metal from a range of sources such as end-of-life vehicles, demolition & construction, and consumer products; batteries, appliances, aluminum, copper, brass, tin, etc. We are seeking a salesperson to close deals purchasing end of life vehicles (i.e. selling out service instead of the competition's).

The ideal candidate has great people skills, is self-motivated and thrives on closing deals and making an impact. This position has a base hourly rate and a generous commission aspect.

The Salesperson will add immediate value to the organization by being resourceful, reliable, and by providing ownership and accountability as a key contributor and leader. The Salesperson will work from our Call Centre at 1900 Merivale Road in Ottawa.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all inbound inquiries (phone/email) and provide the customer with a quote
  • Close deals on the first point of contact and call people back to attempt to close deals on the second or third point of contact
  • Remain courteous and professional at all times
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify and secure new business by cold calling and thinking outside the box when necessary
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with dispatch to ensure we keep promises made to customers

Requirements

  • Sales experience is a must
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is a must
  • Knowledge of vehicles is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of various softwares (Microsoft Office and Google Drive) is preferred
  • Familiar with Ottawa and surrounding areas is an asset
