Reporting to the Sr. Director, Information Technology; the Ceridian Dayforce Application Administrator will work with multiple stakeholders, and is responsible for proactively maintaining the Dayforce HCM application (cloud based) and processes across the organization and plays an important role in technical software support and implementations. Critical functions would be managing/ understanding/communicating application Release changes. Using professional judgment, the successful Ceridian Dayforce Application Administrator will be directly accountable for customer satisfaction as it relates to system stability and usability. Properly and professionally communicate and set customer expectations, deliver on commitments, and manage multiple high-priority issues.
Troubleshoot, and resolve reported problems and monitor and maintain the application
Provide corporate wide support for the Dayforce application and liaison with vendor
Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, assess and implement new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
Maintains system documentation; interacts with users and evaluates Ceridian products
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
Must be able to work in a 24x7 support team environment
SQL skills in helping build custom reports and leading data conversions/migrations
Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement processes for Dayforce application and system monitoring
Leads and participates in efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and formal Releases
Develops test plans for new services and upgrades, patches, formal Releases
Develop and maintain the reporting and dashboard infrastructure for the organization
Develop work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasks
Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
Develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.
Represent the Company in dealing with various solution and service vendors.
Post-Secondary Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
10 years of progressive Information Technology experience in a manufacturing, perishable goods or related industry
3-5 years’ experience with Ceridian Dayforce HCM application or other HCM applications
Good knowledge and demonstrated troubleshooting abilities; capable of taking ownership and resolving problems
Strong familiarity with MS Office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Enterprise IT implementation experience with exposure/participation in project management
Experience with monitoring tools is a plus.
Working knowledge of various IT applications and infrastructure related technologies
