The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Sales Associate, working out of our Toronto office, to join our Asset Management team.

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Support the Sales Associate will work as part of a team with three to four wholesalers, (Vice President Sales and “Business Development Manager) to assist the team in achieving a specific gross sales target from existing relationship with Investment Advisors within defined sales territory. Sales Program and marketing tools are provided to assist in the achievement of this goal. Utilized in depth knowledge of NEI Investments products and services to provide the highest level of sales and service support to the broker/dealer community.

What your day looks like:
The main responsibility is to facilitate (VP Sales /BDM) VP Sales and Business Development Manager access to Investment Advisors and branches within defined sales territory, working closely with them to ensure that all Investments Advisors in the territory are being serviced. Sales Associate is responsible for scheduling and confirming a regular one-on-one meeting and branch presentations.
Administer dealer support requested based on the approval from VP Sales/BDM, taking ownership over the coop marketing process from start to finish. Ensure compliance with National Instrument 81-105 Mutual Fund Sales Practice Rules by following NEI Investments Aviso policies and procedures.
Assist VP Sales/BDM in strengthening relationships with Investment Advisors through recognition-oriented activities. Proactively plan and organized business promotional activities such as client appreciation events, i.e. PM Visit, Road Show, Workshop, Conference Call, Golf, Dinner Theater, etc. on behalf of your team.
Preparing the Wholesaler for one-on-one meeting, branch presentations, fulfilling materials orders, promotional items, etc., and making sure they are sent in a timely manner.
Responding to basic inquiries from Investments Advisors and maintaining a current record in CRM i.e. mailing address, email address, phone and fax numbers.
Administer a budget and sales/marketing plan on behalf of team, maintaining accurate and current records

Your experience and skills:
Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in Business, Sales and/or Marketing
Strong English communication Skills (Both written and verbal)
Completion of CSC Preferred
Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Excellent customer service orientation; problem solving skills with the ability to handle difficult situations
