CASCADES CONTAINERBOARD PACKAGING
The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.
Reporting to the Operational Efficiency Director of Cascades Containerboard Packaging, the Continuous Improvement Coordinator will have the main responsibility to support the implementation of world class business strategies and practices at group level for the Containerboard business unit. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays an essential role in the continuous improvement of our processes, the integration of our units and the maximization of our results.
Coordinate and support the implementation efforts and monitoring of the standardized operational practices, manufacturing procedures and work instructions related to the achievement of the objectives of his group;
Participate in assessing and recommending solutions to improve the operational efficiency of the units in his group;
Maximize synergies and integration within Cascades’ business units;
Analyze production data and trends to identify improvement opportunities (MES / Manufacturing Execution System);
Develop performance indicators, support their implementation and monitor them;
Propose recommendations and solutions to improve productivity and reduce production costs;
Ensure the use of project management practices for the implementation of complex solutions;
Define and improve end-to-end operational processes (mapping and deployment);
Contribute to transfer the knowledge of best practices within the group.
Bachelor in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or related field;
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
Demonstrate leadership, initiative and accountability;
Have a great sense of planning and organization;
Advisory & impact role and demonstrate influencing skills;
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will be required to travel frequently to the various units in North America. Regular presence in St. Bruno is required.
