BiblioCommons is a Toronto based software company that builds SaaS solutions for public libraries. Located in the heart of the tech district at Spadina and Adelaide, we have a team of 80+ people who are passionate about making public libraries accessible, delightful and engaging. We are the recognized leader in a market segment we have created - and are honoured to work with some of the most prestigious public libraries in North America. Our products (and team) are well-loved by our customers - which has resulted in an exceptionally low annual churn rate (<1%)!
We continue to grow, and are currently on the hunt for a Head of Product Design; someone who is excited and interested to help lead the disruption and reshaping of the digital future of libraries. The Design team at BiblioCommons is a strategic partner to our Technology and Product teams, and with library customers and patrons across North America.
As the Design Lead for the company, you will lead the build of a design-focused team and culture. You will play a pivotal role in working with senior leaders to translate the company vision into world-class digital experiences for public libraries and their patrons. Our Designers are key to the way we build our product. They are involved in shaping the function and form of our products from early concept development to the continual iteration and improvement.
Your deep knowledge of Digital Product Design, UX Research, and Human-Centred Design practice will guide the team as they do their work. You will be involved in the planning design process, participating in execution and measuring the business impact of new work.
Our team works on native mobile applications, next-generation web apps, and fully customizable site-building tools that enable millions of patrons to browse the digital library, search for their favourite titles and consume content via our platform. The design lead will be an integral part of shaping those experiences.
