Data Acquisition Specialist "Processor"

The Data & Analytics team at Loblaw is hiring a Data Acquisition Specialist with experience in business management, procurement and/or finance. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Data Acquisition, as part of Data, Insight & Analytics team, the incumbent will be responsible for process control of the company’s data acquisition strategy. Data acquisition is a critical enterprise function and we are building a world class team that will help to transform the company.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a data, procurement and/or finance organization at scale - implementing the strategy for the enterprise and understand how to liaison with business partners, vendors and data providers.

What You'll Do

Responsible for managing and tracking the acquisition process, and finance functions of the enterprise data acquisition strategy
Coordinate the purchase process, legal engagements and finance/accounting reporting necessary to engage with external data & service providers
Function as primary liaison between Data Acquisition, Procurement and Finance
Create the proper controls and documentation to ensure process compliance and status queries within the data acquisition function
Build an external data asset information library and collateral storehouse
Create and manage a repository to track vendor engagements
Build and manage templates, presentation creation and the branding of the data acquisition team
Query internal data to inventory data assets and identify contract owners
Support the day-to-day needs of business customers including the analytic organization
Strictly adhere to legal and compliance guidelines; regarding access and exposure to sensitive and confidential information

What You'll Bring

University degree in a business, data or analytic field of study (e.g. Business, Economics, Media, Finance)
3+ years of experience in data and analytics, finance, procurement and/or program management.
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
Superb organizational abilities and creativity in visualizations and document creation.
Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Capability to liaise with all levels across the enterprise on projects and ad-hoc requests
Strong detail orientation is essential in this role
A Team player and self-starter
