What’s the job?

The Coast Auto Finance Relationship Manager is a high-performing automotive industry specialist whose sales, credit and leasing expertise allows them to expand the Coast Capital Auto Finance footprint in the Indirect Dealer and Direct automotive finance space.

What you’ll get to do:
Develop new relationships while maintaining and managing existing relationships with dealer partners.
Build rapport with dealership Financial Services Managers, Sales Managers and Dealer Principles/General Managers to strengthen and promote strong business relationships to ensure an effective contribution to the overall success of the Coast Auto Finance division.
Meet financial objectives related to the profitable growth and retention of the individual assigned portfolio and maximize opportunities to grow the business.
Deliver Sales Support to key contacts at dealerships, Coast Capital retail branches/contact centre, and Coast Capital Auto Finance partners with the overall goal of ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Maintain detailed information with regards to competitors' offerings (rates, programs, initiatives, etc.).
Liaise with dealerships, Coast Capital retail branches and Coast Auto Finance partners for application review, funding and credit fulfilment.
Identify opportunities to grow existing high value dealers and customers and increased volume from low value dealers and customers.
Establish relationships with key business contacts and centres of influence and maintain a high market profile to build and grow business opportunities.
Plan and implement an ongoing sales calling program.
Develop KPI reporting matrix which includes: application volume, approval/decline percentages, approval/decline turnaround time, marketing initiative success rates and further reporting as determined by the Executive Team. Ensuring weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to Coast Capital Auto and Equipment Finance is correct and delivered on time.
Review processes and procedures on a continuing basis and identify opportunities to simplify or eliminate activities to improve overall productivity and service.
Provide regular and accurate volume forecasting to the business.
Ensure the resolution of program issues, and take appropriate action to prevent recurrence, escalation and obstacles as appropriate, with recommendations/possible solutions.
Maintain effective follow-up with prospects/referrals, including unsuccessful opportunities.
Respond to inquiries, concerns and escalations from customers and ensure they are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Identify product and service deficiencies and opportunities as a result of customer feedback.

Who are we looking for?

Minimum 4 – 6 Years of Job-Related Experience
High School Diploma/Grade 12.
Excellent relationship management and sales skills
Excellent customer service skills
Thorough knowledge of Automotive Dealer Finance programs, products, services and procedures
Extensive knowledge of the Canadian Automotive Finance marketplace, including key prospects, major customers
and competitive positioning within the assigned market area
Awareness of local market and general economic conditions
Knowledge of retail lending and leasing products

Previous leasing experience with 3+ year of related industry experience in a relationship manager or sales role. Some knowledge of credit, including an understanding of financial statements.
