- Certified Full cycle Accountant -

Growing, long standing manufacturing company hiring an experienced certified accountant to handle day to day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivables, banking deposits, adjudicate debits and credit reconciliation, prepare e-bank deposit, produce monthly and quarterly financial statements, and to oversee a junior office admin in basic prep duties, posting invoices, filing and the like.

Must possess a Canadian accounting designation - CPA certification (CA, CGA, or CMA) with a minimum of 5 years accounting experience as a controller or in a relevant leadership role. Plus, 1-2 years full cycle accounting experience in manufacturing industry deemed an asset.

Requires thorough understanding of GAAP, including debit and credit entries, GST/PST, cash and accrual basis accounting, financial statements, reports, and internal control standards. Candidate must display efficient planning, organizational and time management skills with exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to maintain priorities a must. Strong proficiency with MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel) - while using Excel for financial reporting and analysis - and recent experience with Sage50 or similar accounting software most beneficial.

Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, exceptional level of scrutiny and detail, and demonstrate comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.

Duties:

Administer and supervise the weekly operation of the company’s payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivables. Ensure and develop effective operation of full-cycle accounting and financial records. Plan, delegate and supervise all operational work flow to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and aging collections.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial summaries and analysis reports. Administer payroll, process ROE, prepare tax forms etc. Assist HR in onboarding, maintaining updated Health Benefits for staff, and process employee ROE when required.

Must be able to delegate and become direct report to junior admin assistant by overseeing proper procedures for junior cleric in accounting prep duties, posting invoices, filing, performing basic tasks.

Provide guidance and advice on accounting matters, financial statements, record keeping, and analysis.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge and stay current with laws and regulations that govern accounting matters

As a senior role, you must possesses the knowledge and experience necessary to undertake all aspects of the financial reporting function, implementing effective internal controls, and managing the yearly tax and audit functions for the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 to $78,000.00 /year
