You will be responsible for closing new Data Centre and Cloud Services, working collaboratively with ROGERS’ direct sales teams in an assigned territory and exiting base of customers and prospects. ROGERS’ portfolio of Data Center and Cloud Services includes; Colocation, Cloud, Managed Hosting, Managed Server, Managed Storage, Backup and Disaster Recovery. This sales professional will focus on driving Rogers cloud share in Alberta partnering with an existing base of customers and key prospects.
Engaging with Account Managers and the broader organization including Product, Solution Architects and DC Operations to drive opportunities in your assigned territory to meet or exceed your targets.
Use innovative selling techniques and established Cloud product knowledge, to grow business within an existing base of accounts, working collaboratively with ROGERS’ direct sales teams.
Analyze and pursue new opportunities in an assigned territory.
Identify potential clients, opportunities and key buying factors of new customers; formalize those into action plans
Provide insights and thought leadership to ROGERS prospects and customers, at all levels on mutually beneficial business opportunities in the Data Center space
Identify and initiate opportunities, assist direct sales in qualifying opportunities, manage pipeline to meet revenue commitments.
Committed to maintaining a high level of knowledge and expertise in the Data Center, Cloud and IT Services industry
Proficient in preparing a compelling business case, internal and customer facing customer proposals, presentations, quotations, and skilled in negotiating customer contracts.
Proficient in managing through complex technical, operational and support related questions throughout the sales process.
Strong Business Acumen
Financial sales skills – understanding and developing a winning customer business case.
Colocation and Cloud Marketplace, IT industry standards, competitive landscape, trends and emerging market conditions.
IT sourcing and consumption models and the advantages or applicability of each.
Lead and build consensus in matrix environment.
Simplify complex concepts and translate technical capability to business value.
Thrives in an environment of rapid change.
Exceptional communication skills. Comfort in public speaking.
Quick to establish rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to understand and navigate complex buying decisions
Ability to accurately forecast revenue acquisition
Strong Negotiation skills.
5 years B2B sales of Colocation, Cloud or IT Services.
