With so many customers, across so many divisions, we have a lot of data at our disposal to help us make informed decisions about how to run our business. We have a team within our organization that is responsible for aggregating, understanding and interpreting this information. They are a relatively new team, but they are growing rapidly, and they need a solid communicator to help them drive colleague engagement.

Here’s what you’ll need to do:
Serve as the primary communication resource for the Data, Insights and Analytics (DA&I) team.

Support the SVP, DA&I, and his leadership team in building a communication infrastructure from the ground up, to establish and sustain colleague engagement over the short-, medium- and long-term.

Deliver a variety of corporate communication tactics for any number of uses, including departmental town halls, annual conferences, video segments, newsletters, executive speeches, external presentations, intranet articles, company announcements, and more.

Support the ongoing rollout of our award-winning digital workspace, by driving content and interactivity with the site.

Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the department, by effectively measuring the impact of communication efforts post-implementation and adjusting wherever necessary.

Act as a guardian of our internal brand standards. This includes managing our internal tone of voice based on the message at play.

Coach and guide leaders within the Data, Insights and Analytics team, at all levels.

Manage crisis communication plans, as needed. Spoiler alert: this can involve working evenings and weekends from time to time.

Ideally you will have:
5+ years of related experience, primarily in internal communication, doing most if not all of the things noted above.

University degree, with specialization in English, Communication, Public Relations or a related discipline.

Advanced writing skills. This includes the ability to easily switch between creative writing/story-telling and tactical writing.

Excellent Powerpoint design skills.

Event management experience with a firm understanding of how to build agendas and organize event logistics.

Track record of planning and executing strategic communication plans that drive measurable business results.

In-depth understanding of internal communications principles and practices; leverage analytics to make data-driven decisions and measure success.

Proven ability to support and counsel senior leaders; strong interpersonal skills.

Experience with script development and video production.

Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change and meet timelines (without sacrificing quality!).

A positive attitude, a desire to learn, a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get work done either independently or as part of a team.

A curious mindset. The ability to give and earn trust. A comfort being your authentic self at work. The ability and desire to make connections with others.

Assets: bilingualism, a sense of humour, a basic understanding of big data and analytics
