Corel is looking for a Technical Architect to help scale and grow Corel’s e-Commerce platform. If you are passionate about the emerging trends in web and e-Commerce technologies and their real-world applications and have rich experience in full stack software architecture and development, we would like to hear from you.


Maintain a good understanding of how e-Commerce business works, its needs, challenges and opportunities.
Research emerging trends and best practices in the technology landscape and propose ways to leverage them to enhance Corel’s e-Commerce platform.
Continually evaluate e-Commerce platform and, in collaboration with other teams, look for ways to optimize performance, increase operational efficiency, value for money and ease of use.
Propose improvements to e-Commerce platform with a sound rationale and well researched set of options, using a business friendly language.
Create technical specifications to lead the development team through changes in the platform.
Create and maintain architecture documents as a way to communicate how the platform works and opportunities for improvement.
Lead any investigation of technical issues as they arise.
Help stakeholders use the e-commerce technologies in the most optimal manner through regular review of business processes, tools, technology demos and prototypes.


15+ years of software design and development experience.
5+ years experience in architecting large software and system integration projects, technology vendor analysis, and requirements analysis.
A logical thought process to solving problems with ability to identify how to approach the problem in a systematic way.
Ability to communicate, question and push developers to produce efficient long term sustainable solutions and follow e-Commerce software development best practices.
Solid technical knowledge of several of these technologies - HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, Java, J2EE, Python, Databases like SQL Server and MySQL, Web services, Mobile technologies, C/C++, .NET, Objective-C, Data Warehouse concepts, Big data analytics, Amazon Web Services, Content Management Systems (CMS) and Web analytics products like Google Analytics.
Well versed in architectural and design patterns and their usage.
Knowledgeable of both waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies
Strong communication and experience working with globally distributed development teams.
Self-organized, curious and highly motivated
