We are looking for an experienced Human Resources leader to join the Zensurance team. In this dynamic role you will drive HR initiatives across the company, act as a resource to managers and employees, and champion a modern approach to the adoption of Human Resources best practices.
Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicates and enforces organizational values.
Supports employees and managers by providing Human Resources advice, counsel, and decisions for the purpose of ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company; monitors the performance improvement process with non-performing employees Conducts investigations with employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
Informs Senior Leadership Team of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of organizational goals, as well as challenges not being addressed adequately at the Management level.
Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations and onboarding.
Designs, directs, and manages a company-wide strategy for organization development, including yearly reviews, monthly check in’s, employee development, employee retention, organizational design, and change management.
Identifies and monitors organization culture, providing recommendations to support the attainment of the company's goals and promote employee engagement
Occasional support with Talent Acquisition may be required, including: sourcing candidates, interviewing candidates, contract negotiations, etc.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience;
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in Human Resources
Solid technical Human Resources knowledge in a variety of functional areas (talent acquisition, succession planning, employee engagement, employee relations, policies and procedures development, compliance)
Broad knowledge of a variety of relevant legislation (i.e. Employment Standards, Human Rights Code, OHSA; WSIB)
Demonstrated experience in applying HR best practices to support senior management in achieving strategic objectives
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills coupled with superior customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability managing multiple priorities and projects; able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume of work
Experience working with an HRIS system, with strong data processing ability
