Operations Manager - Portable Plants

This position provides leadership, manages, coordinates, and optimizes the safe deployment and production of concrete and aggregate products utilizing portable plants throughout Canada Region. This position is also responsible for Sales, Project Planning, and Maintenance related activities connected to the portable plants. This position requires extensive travel throughout Canada Region (Western Canada, Washington and Oregon).

What you will get to do:
Develop and execute portable project plans, programs, budgets and strategies in alignment with overall objectives
Provide project management for large scale internal capital projects
Development and completion of AFEs and business case development
Secure external concrete project work, including preparation of bid submission, negotiation and contract clarification with owners and contractors
Compile market intelligence and identify potential projects by monitoring local market activity.
Manage the deployment and utilization of RMC and Aggregate portable plant assets in Canada Region to adequately service projects
Create and manage the predictive and preventative maintenance plans for all portable plants
Ensure appropriate personnel requirements are met to carry out projects
Ensure full safety, environmental, and training compliance with all levels of regulators while meeting or exceeding the Regional indicators
Travel within Canada Region approximately 65-75% of the time

Keys to success:
Minimum of ten years progressively responsible industry experience, including three to five years’ experience in a Management role
Experience in both ready-mix and aggregate processing / production
Post-secondary degree in business, engineering, or logistics
Experience running small to large scale projects
Able to obtain a work permit in the USA
Excellent project management skills and capital management knowledge
