We are looking for a Marketing & Content Specialist to join our team in our Toronto location. The Marketing & Content Specialist is responsible for the management of web content to meet business goals and user needs.
This role maintains the website product content, promotional content, events and blogs. This candidate should be adept at using complex content and scheduling systems, comfortable tracking large amounts of information and offer a blend of design and technical skills.
Skills / Duties
Your duties will include but not limited to:
The candidate will apply strong marketing, writing and editing skills to create and manage compelling marketing content across numerous web platforms.
Create compelling and persuasive marketing collateral that covers a suite of products.
Develop, in collaboration with sales and marketing, strategic product campaigns, emails, brochures, video scripts articles, white papers, sales ideas, thought leadership, value-added materials and product training. Distribute specific, actionable information to the sales team.
An assertive team player that can operate in a fast-paced group in which they are responsible for content creation, compliance review, and quality control for print and electronic deliverables.
Someone that has the vision or ideas to build, the writing skills to refine, and the ability to articulate compelling messaging. The goal is to create differentiated, results-driven collateral that allows us to win at the point of sales
Ensure consistency and impact of messaging across varying distribution platforms, channels and audiences.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of content in marketing communications through rigorous quality control, proofing and data checking.
Well versed in creating a social strategy and content marketing.
Develop and maintain a social media strategy.
Create compelling written and visual content for social media accounts.
Maintain a marketing and content calendar.
Report directly to the Co-founder or operations manager with key metrics, and targets, goals, and vision.
Minimum Experience and Formal Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in communications, journalism, English, and marketing.
Outstanding writing and editing abilities; writing samples will be requested.
Successful completion of a writing test will be required before hiring.
Marketing Experience preferably in technology or software industry, ideally in MarTech, Hospitality or Events sectors.
Must be extremely organized, focused and disciplined, self-starter and resourceful
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and impeccable proofreading skills.
A thirst for knowledge and self-development to keep up to date on web technologies.
Solid understanding of event technology and web technology.
Excellent communication skills, Proficiency in English – written and verbal.
Strong team player with a positive attitude and a strong sense of accountability
